Tidy Towns

These awards encourage, motivate and celebrate sustainability achievements of rural and regional communities across Australia. Each year state and territory winners are announced between August and November.

In 2017 Keep Australia Beautiful warmly welcomed finalists from across Australia:

Each finalist received a visit from the Australian Tidy Towns judge between February and April and Barmera, South Australia was named as Overall Winner at the Australian Tidy Towns Awards event in Triabunna, Tasmania on May 11-12 2017.

Tidy Towns has been running nationally since 1990, and began in Western Australia in 1968.
