Keep Australia Beautiful WA (KABWA) provides leadership in the field of litter prevention and reduction in Western Australia. Through community awareness and engagement, education, legislation and enforcement strategies, KABWA works to change the attitudes and behaviours of the community and strives for a litter-free WA.
By offering a range of innovative programs and initiatives for individuals and community groups as well as schools, businesses, community groups and local government authorities, KABWA hopes to inspire community action and positive environmental outcomes.
KAB’s programs include:
Clean Clubs An education and awareness campaign about waste and litter management for sports clubs, grounds and sports events |

Tidy Towns – Sustainable Communities WA Awards Started in 1968 this iconic program acknowledges and rewards regional communities by recognizing projects that enhance and look after the community’s assets and surrounding environments and implements sustainable practices and programs. |

Litter Report Scheme Registered litter reporters submit reports of littering from vehicles. These reports are processed by KABC under the Litter Act 1979 and infringements are sent to offenders. |

Litter Prevention Grants These grants provide financial support for the implementation of projects which make lasting changes to prevent and reduce litter and increase recycling. |

WA Clean Beach Awards The WA Clean Beach Awards is a community pride program to celebrate WA’s beach culture and keep our beaches beautiful, environmentally healthy and litter free. |

Sustainable Cities The Sustainable Cities program is an environmental awards program for metropolitan communities in WA. The awards recognize communities and local governments who work towards environmental sustainability. |

Outback Packs Pick up a pack and keep the Australian outback beautiful |

Clean Marine Clean Marine is an education and awareness campaign targeting the recreational fishing and boating community in Western Australia |

Community Clean Ups KAB WA provides support and assistance to community groups involved in local clean-up efforts. |

Adopt – a – Spot Adopt-a-Spot is an enjoyable and educational litter program that gives local communities the opportunity to contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment. |

Bin Your Butt Reduce butt litter at your business and surrounds through a range of resources to help encourage your staff to bin their butts. |

Keep Australia Beautiful Week KAB week runs every year in August. During this week the KAB National Association and KAB WA run events to raise awareness of litter prevention and protection of our environment. |

Clean Schools The Clean Schools program aims at changing the littering behaviour of students through a whole school approach to litter prevention and a range of resources to help. |
