Keep Australia Beautiful (KAB) and Mount Franklin today announce a new partnership to educate, inspire and take action to enable better recycling opportunities for Australians.

Keep Australia Beautiful CEO Val Southam said, “KAB has been carrying out the independent audited research project known as the National Litter Index for the past 13 years, and is in the perfect position to be able to utilise this data to identify priority areas that may benefit from increased recycling education and infrastructure.”

KAB is an independent and federated not for profit network, recognised as Australia’s independent litter prevention and sustainable practice leader since 1971.

Ms Southam said, “This partnership with Mount Franklin is a great step towards keeping Australia Beautiful and we are excited to be working with a company that is very aware of their environmental responsibilities and are prepared to do their bit.”

Mount Franklin recently announced that its 500ml & 600ml single-serve bottleswithin the Still Water range are now proudly made from 100% recycled plastic – that is plastic, that’s already had a previous life.

Coca-Cola Amatil’s Director Strategy and Marketing Gaelle Boutellier said the partnership was a natural fit with Mount Franklin, given the brand’s sustainability focus.

“Together with KAB, we are exploring howwe can improve recycling opportunities for Aussies, particularly when they are out and about.”

Business and not for profits coming together to find solutions to tackle waste and recycling is a win for the business, the charity, consumers and the environment.
