We’ve made a commitment to creating a positive impact for communities through paint donations by transforming the spaces where they come together. Through the Paint Australia Beautiful School Mural Competition, we inspire students to think deeply about their role in protecting our environment for years to come. By revitalising school walls into vibrant community landmarks, we ensure that the beauty and integrity of our shared spaces protects for generations.

This year, we’re challenging students to create nature-inspired designs built around three critical environmental themes:
Litter Prevention: Inspiring cleaner communities and the people who care for them.
Waste Management: Imagining creative solutions for a more sustainable future.
Biodiversity: Celebrating and protecting the unique ecosystems on our doorstep — and championing a future without harm.

The process is designed for maximum involvement and impact:
Think: Brainstorm nature-inspired ideas in the classroom. Submissions can come from an individual student, a student group, an class, a year or entire school. Check out how other schools have merged student designs into one amazing mural.
Design: Submit your mural design along with the story behind your inspiration. Consider where the mural will go (any publicly visited internal or external wall is fine as long as it meets all the T&Cs).
Create: A winning school from every state will be awarded premium Dulux paint and supplies to turn their vision into a reality

A mural is more than paint on a wall. It’s a lasting statement of what your students value — and a daily reminder to everyone who walks past that young people are taking the future of their local environment seriously.

State Prizes: Eight winning schools will receive expert guidance from the Dulux Paint Team, along with premium Dulux paint and supplies to bring their vision to life. As a company committed to strengthening the communities where people live and learn, Dulux are proud to support schools making a real difference.

Lasting Legacy: Winning schools will also receive commemorative plaques and student keepsakes — a permanent celebration of their contribution to the environment, long after the paint dries.
