Hosted by the 2024 Australian Tidy Towns winner, Beechworth, this event promises to be a memorable and inspiring experience where we will showcase the fantastic projects undertaken by our state finalists, learn from each other’s experiences and announce the deserving winners. Don’t miss out on this chance to be a part of a celebration of environmental stewardship and community pride.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE BEECHWORTH TOWN TOURS

The Beechworth Courthouse is currently home to The Kelly Trials Exhibition which provides an immersive 270-degree, wrap-around multimedia experience, telling the stories of crime and punishment, governance and law, and bushranger Ned Kelly. After the digital presentation guests will have time to explore the remainder of the building with its original furniture and fixtures as well as the incredible new exhibits on display.
The Burke Museum is one of the oldest in Australia and is proudly known as “the museum of museums”. It boasts a collection of over 30,000 items, many dating back over 150 years.
The Beechworth Guided Gold Rush Walking Tour tells the story of the 1850s Gold Rush in Beechworth – once the richest alluvial goldfields in Victoria. Participants will learn the stories behind significant historic buildings, people and events that helped shape Beechworth, visiting many of the buildings associated with governance on the goldfields.
Dress: Casual with comfortable walking shoes (gentle walk over a distance of ~800m) .
